Steve graduated from the University of Florida with a degree in Construction Management. After working for several local builders, he wanted the opportunity to create homes that were more unique and creatively inspired.

He went on to work for Babcock & Wilcox in Akron, Ohio, where he gained valuable experience and increasing responsibility while continuing to pursue his passion for home building.

In 2010, Steve and his father founded SEM Construction as 50/50 partners. Today, Steve is the majority owner and serves as the creative vision behind SEM’s builds. His passion for quality, attention to detail, and commitment to thoughtful design have helped shape SEM’s customer-first culture and reputation for exceptional homes.

Sarah Wright | Interior Designer

Sarah is an experienced interior designer with a passion for creating thoughtfully designed spaces that are both beautiful and functional. She has been working in the interior design industry since 2019, bringing a blend of creativity, communication, and construction knowledge to every project.

Sarah graduated from Kent State University with a degree in Interpersonal Communication and a minor in Construction Management. Her education has given her a unique perspective on the design process, allowing her to understand not only the aesthetic side of a project but also the importance of communication, collaboration, and the construction process.

During her time at Kent State, Sarah had the opportunity to study abroad in Italy for five months, where she immersed herself in the country's rich architectural and design history. Experiencing Italy's architecture, historic spaces, and design firsthand greatly influenced her appreciation for timeless design and continues to inspire her work today.

Sarah enjoys working closely with clients to understand their vision, lifestyle, and personal style, transforming their ideas into cohesive spaces they are excited to call home. She believes the best interiors are a reflection of the people who live in them and strives to create designs that feel intentional, personal, and lasting.

Luke is a Project Manager at SEM Construction, bringing hands-on construction experience and a strong understanding of the building process to every project he oversees.

Luke graduated from GlenOak High School in 2021. After graduation, he began working part-time with SEM Construction while also gaining valuable field experience working alongside an electrician. His time in the trades gave him a firsthand understanding of construction, jobsite coordination, and the importance of quality workmanship.

In 2024, Luke joined SEM Construction full-time, transitioning into a larger role within the company and continuing to grow his knowledge of residential construction and project management. His hands-on background allows him to approach projects with a practical perspective while working closely with homeowners, subcontractors, and the SEM team to keep projects organized and moving forward.

Luke takes pride in being involved throughout the construction process and is committed to making sure each project is completed with attention to detail, quality, and clear communication.

Nathan’s passion for home building is evident from the moment you meet him. With a genuine love for the craft and a commitment to continually improving his skills, he brings both experience and enthusiasm to every project.

A gifted carpenter, Nathan is always looking for ways to expand his knowledge. In his spare time, he enjoys watching videos to explore new construction techniques, research tools, and learn about innovative materials. His dedication to learning and craftsmanship is reflected in the quality of work he brings to each project.

Nathan is a graduate of the Construction Trades program in Stark County. After completing the program, he began his career framing homes before transitioning into remodeling, gaining valuable experience across many areas of residential construction.

Nathan joined the SEM Construction team in 2020 and has been a valued member ever since. Known for being organized, dedicated, and honest, he takes pride in guiding projects from start to finish while ensuring that every detail is handled with care. His hands-on experience and commitment to quality make him an important part of the SEM team.
